(Reproducable) Crash during installation of Vista 64 Home Premium
Starting install of winxp on new AV8, I am at the point where the SATA drivers are in the floppy and I am asked to choose which SCSI adapter I want. I have a single SATA HDD installed. The choices are: 1. Intel 82801FR SATA raid controller 2. Intel 82801FR SATA AHCI controller 3. Intel 82801ER SATA raid controller

Bug#466713: Lenny SATA RAID Dual Boot Installation Report
Situation: 2 PCs running XP SP2 (one built with a Bad Axe 2 motherboard and the other with a Bad Axe). Bad Axe? I knew not much about AHCI (didn't plan to RAID anyway), AHCI is not RAID. 4) How do I set up the array to be the boot device AND have a separate IDE and/or SATA drive that it will not boot from? 5) My new case has hot swappable drive slots, but it says that to be able to use the swapping, your controller should have the AHCI function. Does the M2N-SLI Deluxe support AHCI?
